Tom Richmond Freelance Illustrator
Tom has been a professional freelance illustrator for over
19 years, with extensive experience in caricature, cartoons and comic book art. He
began his career drawing caricatures at Six Flags Great America theme park near Chicago,
Illinois. and continues to create caricature and cartoon illustration in several different
arenas. Tom has had work published in a great number of nationally distributed magazines,
books, comics and other publications, as well as work for advertising and
corporate clients. Tom's work is seen regularly in MAD Magazine.
He was twice honored as "Caricaturist of the Year" by the National Caricaturist Network, and
served two terms as president of that organization. Tom is also a member of
the National Cartoonists Society, and
was awarded a divisional Reuben Award for Advertising Illustration at the
2004 Reuben Awards. He
continues to do live caricature work, owning seven caricature art concession operations in
four states. Tom's studio is based in the Minneapolis, MN area, where he resides with his
beautiful wife, Anna, daughters Elizabeth (14), Victoria (12), Gabrielle (10) and
number one son Thomas (8).

- Over 15 years producing professional illustrations for local and national magazines,
periodicals, books and other publications as well as for advertising and
merchandising. Mediums include pencil, ink, airbrush,

Comic
Art:
- Well versed in the art of sequential storytelling with over 650 nationally published
comic pages and 22 covers. Has had comic art interpreted into four foreign languages and
published internationally in titles like "Married...with Children" and "The
Cone heads". Tom has done movie and TV parodies for Cracked
Magazine, and has most recently joined the "Usual Gang of
Idiots" at Mad Magazine doing
movie and TV parodies and art for feature articles.

- Owns major caricature art concessions at Valleyfair theme park, Shakopee, MN, Six Flags, St. Louis,
Eureka, MO; Underground Atlanta, Atlanta, GA; St. Louis Union Station, St, Louis,
MO, the Mall of America and Camp Snoopy, Bloomington, MN; and Six
Flags New England, Agawam, MA.
Has been doing live caricature for nineteen years.

Graphics:
- Creating digital images and artwork for entertainment and game CD-ROMS. Clients include
Luminare Inc., Palladium Interactive and Wayforward Technologies, on such titles as
"Star Warped", "The X-Fools", "Winblows 98" and "Super
Scattergories".
