I do not as yet have a digital event ticketing mechanism on the website to allow people to book their spot in the workshop, so I have set up a simple “downloadable” product in the Studio Store under the “Cool Stuff” category and set an inventory limit of 12, so anyone wanting to book a spot visit this page and put down your deposit. The PDF you will then download will give you the details on booking your room at the hotel (if you need one, that is not required if you are a local), other important info and will also have a form I’d like you to fill out with info for the workshop.

Also in the interest of full disclosure, I am planning on conducting two other workshops this year in other areas of the country. It will be a similar format, but I will be flying to a location and holding the workshop in a hotel there. I have not decided on the destinations yet but Orlando and LA are likely possibilities. Of course, there will be no tour of my studio or demos of my MAD work techniques on these destination workshops since my studio will be back in Minnesota. I just want people to know if they come to Minnesota and incur travel expense to do so, there may be a possibility I’d end up doing a workshop closer to you sometime in the future. None of that is set in stone or even in the planning stages yet… this one here in Minnesota is going to happen for sure.

So, there you have it. Twelve spots are up for grabs on a first come first served basis. I will accept a few names for a “waiting list” (no deposit required) in case I get any cancellations.

Comments

  1. Very cool! Definitely come out to L.A. sometime; I would happily attend.

    • Jen Tys says:

Do you have to be over 18?

      • Tom Richmond says:

I guess you have to be old enough to travel and rent a hotel room, unless you come with an adult. I don’t think I’d take anyone under 16 though. Not enough drawing time accrued to get the maximum out of the class.

  2. Jen says:

Thanks for responding so quickly. My son is only 14 so we’ll have to wait. Thanks again.

  3. James Thomas says:

Awesome, if you come to Orlando, I’ll definitely attend. I work at Disney for Keelan, some of our other coworkers might be interested also

  4. Michael Cripps says:

    Are you coming to Canada?
