Sketch o’the Week

It’s been a long time since I did a caricature of actor and nutcase Tom Cruise. Just watched the movie “Knight and Day”, which was watchable but a long way from good. I still can’t figure out where the “Day” in the title comes from… Cruise’s characters real surname is “Knight”, but I can’t think of any connection to a “Day”. Cameron Diaz‘s character’s name is June Havens. Ah well, the title makes about as much sense as the plot.

dia in Spanish means day….so maybe they linked Cameron’s last name “DIAz” to the Day in the title. That is the only link I could find, even tho the plural of dia is diaS. =)

Nice sketch, Tom! I like it very much!
Re: knight and day – there are two points.
The first is the connection between the surname Knight and the actual meaning of the word KNIGHT. Mr. knight is a real knight in this film.
The second is a pun in the title. If you pronounce the title “Knight and Day” all you hear will be “Night and Day”.
