More New Samples

I also had a little down time at the theme park on Monday to do two new samples for the display wall. Again, these are based on previous “Sketch o’the Week” drawings and are executed in graphite/freehand airbrush in a manner that is consistent with what customers can expect to see if they get a caricature:

The similar head and body angle is just coincidence. I wouldn’t want to hang these samples next to one another for that reason.

Looking good Tom! I had a wedding last night and the groom was an American and so there were lots of Americans there and one guy I drew, I really nailed and I was sooo pleased with the caricature, as was everyone else and I thought, as they asked me how I did it, “from learning the art off of Tom’s how to draw tutorial’s…”. Wish I had a photo to show you but alas as usual, so much mayhem and so many people banging to get drawn I just had to get on with the next victim. But that made my night! Make sure Keelan lifts some decent weight this weekend, hahahahaha….

Tom I love the Eddie Van Halen caricature and the multiple fingers on the fret board. When Eddie plays it sounds as if he’s using ten extra fingers !
Awesome job! Couldn’t have nailed it any better.

    Tom,

As always great job. I really love the Eddie Van Halen especially as I’m an old VH fan and also a guitar player. I always thought Eddie resembled Mickey Dolenz of The Monkees, ooops showing my age a bit and my warped mind….
